New Mini Owner

Just bought my first mini yesterday. Picked up a 2014 Countryman All4 S.
I already have visions of some things I want to do to it. Is there a local shop that specializes in Mini that you can point me to for customizing?
My wife and I will want to do some drives/functions, so I look forward to meeting some of you.

Happy Holidays

Brett & Lori

Welcome, Brett and Lori! Tell us more about what you bought, so we know who to look out for when waving to fellow MINIs.

When it comes to customizing, I guess it all depends on what you are looking to do. With my original 2005 MCS, I did it all myself, with help from other members. I have heard that NW MINI will install aftermarket products, but I have no direct confirmation there.

Thanks

Ok,
We bought a white Countryman 4all S with black mirrors and black roof, we convinced them swap out the tires and rims to black rims and will do this week.

Nothing else really stands out on this one, but it will soon..

I would love to try and do some stuff myself, but my mechanical aptitude is very low. The first thing I am going to do is swap out the ring around my headlight housing to the black one. I would like the actual black xenon housing, but after doing some reading this morning that may be a challenge. I will start with just the ring for now. Step 2 will be to add some custom graphics. Step 3 HID fog lights.

I already got pre-approval from my wife on that stuff, so will need to be nice to her for a few weeks to get other stuff

Happy New Year

What time were you down at NW MINI picking up? We had the wife's MINI in for a battery replacement, so it's possible we crossed paths.

The headlight ring shouldn't be overly difficult. I painted mine on my 2005, and it wasn't overly difficult to take it off. Just be careful, take your time, and it's pretty easy. Black housing, if you can find one, also shouldn't be hard. Unless you are looking at doing the "Joey mod", and painting it. I considered that one the 2005, but didn't want to screw that up. So my 2012 Countryman All4 came with black housings. HID fog lights, if they are a direct swap, shouldn't be overly hard, either, I would think. And graphics, well, there are a lot of options there. I was talking to someone else at the dealer yesterday (Robert and Dakota, father and daughter), who got his graphics from 3M MINI Graphics, I think it was. Royal Grey Countryman All4 with orange and black "blow off" checkerboard. Pretty striking, I hope they make it out to the Bacon Run next month. The graphics printer found an installation company and set up the appointment. Sounded like a pretty good full service deal, actually.

We were there during that time, too. You weren't working with Terry, were you? I saw him with a couple the whole time we were there.

Joe

No, we were with a nice kid by the name of Joe. In the way back of the store.
He had a lot of patience as I am not a emotional purchaser and ran him through the ringer a bit.

Dropping it off tonight to get by rims.

Happy New Year
