Winter Wheels and Tires

I am looking for a set of extra wheels and tires(for winter tires) for my 2011 Coup S. I presently have 205/45R17's on 12 spoke 17" wheels. I see on Craig's List a set of 195/55R16 for sale. Will they fit my vehicle? Any advice?

I believe those would fit. I would need to look up the various fitment sizes for MINI, and especially an '11, but it does look promising on the surface.

Winter Wheels

Well, for what it is worth, my education about MINIs continues to grow. The wheels that I saw on Craigs List looked good and would have been a bargin....but after speaking with a service tech at NW MINI the wheels from an '05 Cooper S will not fit my '11 S because the lug bolts on the 2011 are larger than the 2001 thru 2006. Aw shucks

I am contemplating selling the wheels on my car and going with an aftermarket wheel. If they are of interest let me know.

Can't promise I'm ready to pull the trigger but it's something to think about.

Todd

(Oh, and the wheel in my avatar is my old wheel. The garage has my current ones.)

Yes, the lug bolts are 2mm larger on your Series 2, but the holes in the wheels are probably not smaller. The wheels may still fit. Bring a lug bolt with you when you go to look at the wheels, it it fits the lug bolt holes, you're good!

Thanks Dave, I'll have to try that and see if it works.
